She is a perfect model and paragon of being slim and sensual, is weighed 95 lb and toll by 5 ft 5 in. She is none other than the HRP-4C robot model will achieve the height of the Giseles and Naomis of catwalk fame. That didn't stop the HRP-4C from making her debut in March, modeling a wedding dress by designer Yumi Katsura on her black-and-silver frame. Researchers at Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology developed the $2 million HRP-4C, which is equipped with doelike eyes and shoulder-length hair, as well as sound-recognition sensors and motors in her face to mimic human expressions. But with the HRP-4C's unusually long arms, rigid gait and expected price of about $200,000,

Now flesh-and-blood models are worried about losing their jobs to futuristic fashionistas quite yet.

Whether you are sharing an apartment, a house, or a room with workmates or classmates, having a personal space for your own food supply is often a matter of necessity. You may desire your own storage space for your particular and unique culinary delights.

The new Electrolux Flatshare Refrigerator is an innovative product that gives you your own space for your all-natural, processed, or whatever else kind of food you enjoy. No longer do you have to store your exquisite delectables alongside someone else's less-than-fresh rutabaga or rapidly deteriorating corn dog. This modular refrigerator guarantees you your own personal, safe, sanitary, and organized refrigerator and freezer space.

The concept behind the Electrolux Flatshare Refrigerator is simple. The modular fridge as a whole is made up of separate pieces or compartments. They are stackable, one on top of the other. In essence, each roommate has their own mini-fridge; however, they are not stored in separate rooms. They are part of one refrigerator unit in one space that takes up the same amount of space as a traditional refrigerator does.

Jamers Cameron’s Avatar opens this week, with trailers featuring some funny-looking aircraft that resemble helicopters, but with ducted fans instead of the traditional rotor blades. While there are no full-size aircraft employing this technology, it’s already in use on small unmanned drones. And it has distinct advantages over the older approach.

Last month, an Australian company, Cyber Technology (WA) Pty Ltd, used a drone with ducted fans in an actual operation. Their Cyber Quad vertical take-off drone carried out an extended survey of an offshore drilling platform and an oil rig damaged by fire. The drone flew around, under and inside the two structures, which are joined by a gantry, as well as landing on them for a better look.

Yes, that is what technology & engineering can do for you. Watch this amazing 3 meter cubed home.

Japanese architect Jo Nagasaka and the Schemata Architecture Office have come up with a home design that rethinks just how much space one person needs. 6,000 square feet? 600? Well, try 30 square feet.

The Paco home has a hammock to sleep on, a Japanese-style recessed desk, and a sink, toilet and shower all in a crate that's a 3-meter-cube. It's not intended to replace where you live now, but rather to supplement it. It could be a beach house, a portable office — anything, really, as long as you find a way to lug it into place and hook up the water.

Trying to open that hatch-like roof to get in doesn't look like the most comfortable solution, either, though maybe that's a doggy door on the side.
